Terms of Service

Last updated:

Welcome to HiveLLM (the "Platform" or "we"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legal agreement between you and HiveLLM regarding your use of the Platform. Please read them carefully. By registering, signing in, or otherwise accessing the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.

1. Service description

HiveLLM is a unified AI model gateway. Through a single API endpoint we aggregate large language and multimodal models from upstream providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Qwen and others.

Core capabilities include:

  • Unified API across vendors, compatible with the official OpenAI / Claude / Gemini SDKs
  • Smart routing by availability, cost and latency
  • Real-time billing, usage analytics and cost reporting
  • Token (API key) groups, quota isolation, IP allow-list and other access controls
  • Account and billing management

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-product notice or email.

2. User accounts

You must register an account to use the Platform and provide accurate, complete, and current information.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and API keys, and for all activity (including API calls and resulting charges) under your account.

Accounts may not be transferred, lent, or sold. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use or any anomaly.

Accounts that violate these Terms may be limited, suspended, or terminated, and any losses arising from such actions are borne by you.

3. Restrictions and prohibited conduct

You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Platform and shall not:

  • Generate or distribute illegal, infringing, or harmful content
  • Infringe intellectual property, image, privacy, or other rights of any party
  • Engage in fraud, false advertising, or unfair competition
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass any security control
  • Abuse the API through automated scraping or bot traffic
  • Use the Platform for any purpose violating applicable laws or public order

We may immediately terminate the service of any user who violates the above and reserve the right to pursue legal remedies.

4. API usage rules

API keys are credentials. Keep them safe — do not embed them in client-side code, public repositories, or any location accessible to third parties.

You must respect the request rate (RPM) and token throughput (TPM) limits we publish. We may impose throttling or suspension on abusive traffic.

The Platform serves as a routing and aggregation layer. We make no guarantee regarding the availability, accuracy, latency, or correctness of any underlying model.

API keys must not be used to bypass access controls or in any manner contrary to law or these Terms.

5. Billing and payment

The Platform uses pay-as-you-go billing. Your usage (measured in tokens or other applicable units) is deducted from your account balance.

You must top up before use. When your balance is exhausted, relevant API traffic may be paused automatically.

Top-ups are generally non-refundable except as required by law. Promotional credits (e.g., welcome credits) follow the rules published with the promotion.

We may adjust pricing in response to upstream cost changes or operational needs. Price changes will be announced at least 7 days in advance.

6. Intellectual property

All intellectual property in the Platform — pages, code, documentation, trademarks, and brand assets — is owned by HiveLLM and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any of it without written permission.

You retain rights to content generated through the Platform. You grant HiveLLM a limited, non-exclusive license to use such content as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.

7. Data privacy and security

We process request and response data solely to provide API and billing services. We do not use such data to train AI models and we do not sell it to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We apply industry-standard encryption, access control, and auditing to protect your data. We are responsible only within reasonable limits for risks arising from force majeure or third-party attacks.

8. Availability and disclaimer

We will use reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or absolutely secure operation.

We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure (natural disasters, war, government actions, network outages, etc.) or by third-party causes (e.g., upstream provider outages).

We do not warrant the truthfulness, accuracy, completeness, or legality of any AI-generated output. You are responsible for your use of generated content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages.

9. Changes and termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, with prior notice for material changes.

You may request account closure at any time through account settings. After closure, your data will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the mainland People’s Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan).

Disputes shall first be resolved in good-faith negotiation. Failing that, either party may bring the matter before the competent court at the location of the Platform’s operating entity.
